School of Shamanism Second Year Program

The prerequisite to enter the Second Year Program is completion of the First Year Program. Students who chose to continue with Spirit Canoe will go forward with the same community of participants. The program includes four quarterly two-day intensives and the ongoing bi-weekly practice groups. The second year adds a component of individual focus and growth with one-on-one mentoring sessions with Robbie. These sessions will take place monthly during the months when there is no two-day intensive. They will be scheduled individualy at the beginning of the year.

Topics for the two-day intensives will be announced during the final quarter of the first year. They will be inspired in part by areas of interest or specialization among the group.

Course Outline: Individual Mentoring

This important part of the second year program offers an opportunity for people who are genuinely called and commited to this work to receive individual attention, mentoring and instruction. The sessions are largely student-directed, so they can be tailored to each person's unique calling. Students prepare for each session by bringing questions and subjects for discussion that arise from their current practice, either personally or with clients. With the support of the helping spirits, Robbie offers insight and guidence to help move each person forward in their work.

Course Outline: Bi-Weekly Practice Groups

The bi-weekly Practice Groups in the Spirit Canoe School of Shamanism are designed to provide opportunities for participants to explore the subjects of the two-day intensives further. Participants will continue with the same group from their first year, allowing for the sense of community to grow deeper. In addition to follow up from the two-day intensives, the practice groups in the second year provide a regular setting in which people can connect with the helping spirits, give and receive healing, and journey about questions that are of interest to the group.

The Practice Groups are led by people who have completed the Spirit Canoe School of Shamanism's facilitator training course, all of the FSS in-person weekend workshops, and a year or more of advanced individual mentoring with Robbie. Some of them are participants in or graduates of the FSS two-week and three-year programs.
